A lot of updates coming from Nokia owners this week as HMD Global announced that Andriod 10 is now available for Nokia 6.1 plus.
Yesterday was Nokia 7 Plus’s turn and today the update has been announced for Nokia 6.1.
The update comes in at 1.4GB in size and includes December 2019’s security patch. Full changelog below:

- Smart reply – Save more time with recommended actions.
- Gesture navigation – Get around with a swipe and a pull.
- Additional controls for privacy and location.
- Google Security Patch (2019-12).
The Nokia 6.1 launched in January 2018 first in China before a global release later. It ran Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and later got updated to Android 9 Pie.
The phone has a 5.5-inch FHD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 630 with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
There is a single 16MP camera on the back of the phone along with a fingerprint scanner. It also has an 8MP selfie camera, NFC, and packs a 3000mAh battery with support for 18W Quick Charge 3.0.
According to the Android 10 update roadmap, the next devices to get the update are the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 3.2, and Nokia 4.2. Do note that the update may not arrive in that particular order.
